at the usual place of Piazza Santa Maria la Nova, yesterday morning there was a meeting of Provincial Council of Naples on the themes:
1) Opening of the second landfill site in the Vesuvius National Park (Cava Vitiello).
2) Piano di programmazione delle attuali discariche di Terzigno e Chiaiano.
Una delegazione di circa venti attivisti della zona vesuviana, di Chiaiano e Marano sono stati autorizzati ad assistere alla seduta.
L'Assessore all’Ambiente Caliendo da un lato ha annunciato che la Provincia intende proseguire sulla strada delle discariche e degli inceneritori ma, ha poi aggiunto, il parere negativo dell’ente di Piazza Matteotti all’apertura della discarica in Cava Vitiello.
Questo lascerebbe sperare in uno stop ad ulteriori discariche ma, attenzione: i capigruppo di Cesaro pur sottolineando il loro parere contrario pongono come indispensabile condizione che non ve ne debba be necessary, namely that the new waste plan features and reach your goals.

Ma cerchiamo d'essere speranzosi e positivi, forse non avremo un autonomia di 16 mesi però se il famoso piano provinciale dei rifiuti viene presentato immediatamente guadagneremo del tempo, no? Macchè, la Provincia si impegna a presentarlo solo entro il 31 dicembre 2010, ovvero fra sei mesi!

da monitorare va avanti …

Il piano non esiste, le discariche attuali hanno un autonomia massima di 6 mesi, i dati di cui dispone la giunta sono errati e comunque different from those held by local authorities.
